UNITY FOR COMMUNITY
As we observe the impact the COVID-19 pandemic is having on our community, we have been unable to sit idle. Downtown Fresno Partnership has been consistently researching and distributing information to aid our local businesses in navigating the unforeseen challenges they are facing, while promoting open businesses, providing overnight security patrols, and monitoring homeless activity ad Downtown Fresno Foundation has worked tirelessly to bring additional resources and aid to the businesses in our community. However, we recognized an additional need in our community and felt compelled to help.
While we are all experiencing these impacts in different ways, we recognize that healthcare workers remain on the frontline of this pandemic and we want to do what we can to support them during this time. Downtown Fresno Partnership and Downtown Fresno Foundation have partnered with Root General, Haron Jaguar Land Rover, TW Patterson and Jeffrey Scott Agency to establish the CRMC COVID-19 Relief Fund benefitting Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC). In addition to being our neighbor, CRMC has provided a vital piece of our downtown community by bringing approximately 200,000 patients per year, over 5,500 employees and nearly 1,400 related physicians, in addition to a large amount of visitors. The people associated with the hospital and research center have supported downtown through shopping, dining, hotel stays and even living here. Now its our turn to support them.
Here is How You Can Help
Root General has designed and printed a limited run t-shirt that any Fresnan would be proud to wear. Shirts will be for sale for $35 at UnityforCommunity.org with all proceeds benefitting CRMC.
With multiple sponsorship levels, we want to make it easy for you to donate as much or as little as you can. During this time anything can help. Financial donations will go toward the purchasing of new personal protective equipment, meals, and more for healthcare workers at CRMC. All donations will be tax deductible and will be made to Downtown Fresno Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit corporation.
We know that this time is challenging and not everyone can give monetarily. However, we want everyone to be able to participate so if you are a restaurant owner and would like to contribute by preparing meals for healthcare workers and delivering on-site then this is for you. During this time, CRMC staff has worked tirelessly and made personal sacrifices to safeguard our community. Employees have had to live away from family, work extra hours, and struggle with the emotional toll of the pandemic As members of the community, we want to ensure that your gifts and donations are directly benefiting those in need. 100% of our proceeds will be given to CRMC for their needs during this challenging time.
